My cheeky monster

I have to confess that I've had a few things that I've wanted to blog, but I needed to do my 100th post first. Now that it's out of the way, I can babble away.

I've been doing some shopping with Sam at Jetta's Nest. First I bought Will this shirt
cheekymonster

Will LOVES his cheeky monster shirt. So when Sam created her robot applique, I just had to buy one of those too!

Thank you Amanda!

My friend, Amanda, made this beautiful pin cushion for me as a thank you for the outfits I made for her Sam. I love it so much!

It's time to celebrate!

Well, if I am counting correctly I've hit 100 posts!!! And if that isn't enough reason to celebrate, it's my birthday.

So I'd love to give away one of my favourite creations. The rainbow dyed Redondo skirt.

My favourite skirt

I can make this skirt from size 86/92 up to size 134/140. I will post it anywhere in the world.

To enter leave me a comment and tell me what is your favourite item that I've created. Most of my work has been blogged, but have a look at my flickr photostream.

I will have Will randomly pick a name on his birthday, April 11. Yes, we have a house full of Aries.

Speaking of birthdays

My baby turned 6 yesterday! Happy Birthday Mollie!

She received from her family a music box, craft supplies and a top for the cooler weather. It's another Jule top, but this one has butterflies and flowers on it. Moo requested butterflies. Excuse the poor photos. I should have used a flash in the shade out front. I am embarrassed at times about my pathetic photography because one, I have a good camera and two, I do actually know a little bit about photography, just a little though!

Grandma gave Mollie this adorable princess stamp set from Djeco. I think that was Moo's favourite gift.

More birthday presents

I had Mollie model the shirts before I wrapped them up. I think they look so much better being worn than hanging on a hanger.

Both shirts are Australian made cotton/spandex in the body with Euro knits used for the sleeves.
I am tempted to make a mama size shirt like these for moi.

Meet Rojo

rojo

Mollie says I should call my new laptop, Rojo. Clever little chook. It's not called Rojo, but Mothra. All of my laptops have been called Mothra. Can you tell we have a theme going?

Not lost in translation

My apologies for being quiet. If I am quiet, it means I am creating. I am not very good at picking up the camera to do WIP photos. Today was a market at Moo's school, and I've been busily cutting, sewing and dyeing.

I have a stack of silk and flannel blankets.

And last night I stayed up until midnight making this Jule hoodie. It was the first thing I sold today. I was thrilled that it quickly found a new home.

I love it when an idea in my head is translated onto fabric!

Autumn is on its way

March is a busy month. I thought I was free at least one weekend this month, but today I was handed an invitation for a party on that 'free' weekend. And it's a combined party, two girls, so two presents must be made. I have a market on March 14 which I should be sewing for, but really I've been in the mood to do more individual 'art' pieces. If I could just get the ideas out of my head onto fabric, I'd be happy.

So for the party this weekend, we have
gift #1

And for the following weekend

I am in an Antonia mood again. I've been meaning to list a custom slot on Etsy, but just haven't gotten around to it. If you are interested email me or convo me via Etsy. It goes like this...you get to raid my stash. Pick the body of the shirt, and I will do the rest.

Russian Nesting Doll

I have a market to prepare for. Dresses need to be cut, so that I can sew and dye, but I just didn't feel like it last night.

I started out by just doing the embroidery onto felt. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. Then this morning I decided to cut a backing and bottom out of light blue felt. I blanket stitched and stuffed it with wool. Voila! Little nesting doll.

I am thinking making the whole set. Mollie has requested it, but we'll see how time goes.

Mail Delivery!

Look what arrived in my mailbox yesterday!
mixtape
I've subscribed to MixTape. Check out what cool subscriber gift I received, the Dutch-Russian Sublime Stitching pattern. I have quite a few Sublime Stitching patterns already, but I don't own this one and I really wanted it! How cool!
